I am sure the memory of Tony Soprano from the television series, The Sopranos would still be fresh in your minds, but I have my doubts whether you even know who Shanker is.

Shanker, ladies and gentlemen, is not in any way similar to the character (Tony) played by James Gandolfini.

While Tony ruled the unlawful business in America through his influence, Shanker’s scope is much wider and much broader when it comes to ruling through influence.

But they do have one similarity.

They both are brought alive by James Gandolfini.

While Tony was portrayed by James himself, Shanker would have to do with the veteran actor’s voice only.

Now, you must be getting the picture what this Shanker could be.

But in order to make matters clear for the ones who have slow processors (I, obviously, can’t be offensive, as I keep the slowest one), Shanker is the character James Gandolfini will be voicing in an animation adventure that involves extra-terrestrial people. (Did I say ‘people’?)

He would be working alongside Sarah Jessica Parker, Jessica Alba, Brendan Fraser and many other big shots from the town of Hollywood.

Reports are coming in that the character James will be voicing is the baddie in the animation picture.

Well, this would surely come as a pleasant change for the fans of James as not much has been heard about his involvement in any animation work earlier.

The story revolves around two alien brothers who visit planet Earth to rescue some of their fellow aliens but their endeavors meet a blockade in the form of Shanker!

Now, this sounds exciting.

But the sad part is that only James’ voice would be there to look forward to.
