Sopranos Season 5

The fifth season of the series was premiered on March 7, 2004. The third season of the series also had thirteen episodes just like the rest of the seasons. The fifth season of the series began with two years having passed since the last episode of the series took place. Tony and Carmela have been separated for the past two years now. Season opens with Carmela calling Tony for help when a bear gets in her backyard. With number of members of the gang who were in prison since long are released, this becomes a reason for celebration. On the other hand, Tony once again pays Dr. Melfi a visit and tells her the feelings that he has had for her and also tries to convince her by saying that he is now a changed man. But Melfi knows him well and won’t give in so easily. In the next episode, with Tony’s cousin, Tony Blundetto is also the one who has been released from the prison; Tony throws a big party to welcome him and the other members.

The FBI is still pressurizing Adriane for the information and she nearly confesses at the Carmela’s film club. On the other hand, Tony is feeling that now that the old guys are back soon there is going to be a fight for power and he should be ready for that in advance. In the next episode, now that Carmine has passed away Little Carmine and Johnny Sack begin making moves on each other’s business. Johnny tells Carmine’s loan sharks to make all payments to Johnny instead. Carmine reports the matter to Tony and asks for his help. On the other hand, Feech La Manna, an old mobster who has just come out of the prison, demands that his nephew should be given the responsibility to handle the neighborhood gardening business. Though no final decision was made regarding this demand. In the next episode, A.J. spends a memorable night at the Big Apple, but when his parents come to know they are not happy. This leads to an argument between the two and A.J.’s custody is given to Tony for some time. On the other hand, Tony after lots of consideration is forced to take an action against the Feech La Manna problem, which might involve blood. Meanwhile Carmela has developed a liking for A.J.’s guidance counselor. War begins at New York claiming first two lives. In the next episode, Tony starts hanging around at Adriana’s club. The two have been spending time together and also doing drugs. Tony’s car meets with an accident and at that time Adriana is also there, this leads to a rumor that they are sexually involved. When Christopher comes to know that he beats up Adriana and faces Tony in the most unexpected way. But then finally Tony is able to convince him that all the things that he has been hearing about Adriana and him are false.[Read More....]
