The fourth season of the series was premiered on September 15, 2002. The fourth season too had thirteen episodes in it. The fourth season of the series began with Tony coming to know that his Uncle Junior is having financial problems and he then helps him by buying some property for him, even though Tony himself is suffering from financial crisis. Tony and Carmela host a dinner with some old friends including Ralph and Rosalie. Christopher is completely under the influence of drugs and calls trouble for himself. Tony tells him some information about his dead father, which helps him settle an old score. Adriana on the other hand is going around with Danielle, but she doesn’t know that Danielle is the kind of person she may not like to be with. In the next episode, Meadow is still very upset over the death of Jackie Jr. and she decides to drop out of college and travel to Europe, which is not acceptable to her parents.

They then decide to send her to a psychologist only to make things worse. On the other hand, Christopher is made acting capo of Paulie’s crew, making the environment unfriendly. Adriana comes to know the reality about her new friend Danielle, which comes as a surprise to her as Danielle is a FBI agent. He then gives Adriana a choice between becoming an informant for the FBI and spending twenty years in jail. Tony, on the other hand, gets worried when Janice and Ralph begin a serious relationship. In the next episode, everyone is busy with the preparations of Columbus Day festivities when they get to know that a Native American activist group intends to raise a protest and interrupt the annual Columbus Day parade. Bobby Bacala finds out that his wife is dead and that she has been killed in a car accident. Everyone feels bad for him as he was the only faithful husband in the group. Janice decides to break up with Ralph and also pushes him down a flight of stairs. Silvio finally gathers courage and decides to break up a Native American protest against Columbus. In the next episode, the joke that Ralph made on Johnny Sack’s wife regarding her weight is still bothering Johnny like anything. He, in fact, goes ahead to get a hit sanctioned on Ralph. When that does not happen, he takes things in his own hands. Tony is then forced to come in between to solve this over heated issue. On the other hand, Tony’s wife Carmela is invited by Furio, who is having a housewarming party and she finds herself attracted towards the guy. Tony is shocked when he learns that his daughter is started to volunteer for a legal practice, fearing that she will destroy all the plans that he has had for Meadow.
