David Chase, the producer of the series has been unspoken on the topic whereas the cast members loose lipped. According to the cast members a script is on the way to the big screen.

If this is true then I am very sure that the big screen appearance of The Sopranos will be welcomed with open hands and will certainly be a big hit. But if you listen to Lorraine Bracco, then she says, “the rumor is way off the mark. I don’t think it’s that at all.”

She also adds, “I think it’s really trying to get the right script. Without the right script, it’s really not worth doing. We’ve all talked to David to give him a kick in the booty to get it right.”

Moreover The Sopranos star, Steve Van Zandt claims that all what is happening is “just rumor”.

Huh! I am confused.

I am very confused of what is right and what is not. God knows what is going to happen. Being an honest fan of The Sopranos, I wish I could see the show on the big screen and I guess all other fans of the show must have the same desire. But different statements of the stars are puzzling me.

Drea de Matteo, whose performance was just fantastic in The Sopranos, has now officially been confirmed as the cast member of the ABC’s well known television series Desperate Housewives.

It was the publicist of Desperate Housewives, Aime Wolfe who officially announced her joining the show. She will be in the upcoming sixth season of this wonderful series.

You all will also be glad to know that Matteo recently got engaged to country singer Shooter Jennings. Matteo even has an eighteen months older daughter Alabama with Shooter Jennings.

Matteo portrays the role of Adriana La Cerva in “The Sopranos”. In the series she was acknowledged as a mobster’s dream girl. Initially she was interested in expensive cars, shoes, jewelry, drugs, furs and designer clothing that Christopher’s money could buy. Adriana was a very motivated person and always wanted to have her own business.

She even became the manager of Christopher’s Crazy Horse Club at Long Branch in New Jersey, which later on turned out to be very successful.

The Sopranos successfully completed six long seasons and came to an end on June 10, 2007.

Since the long running series “The Sopranos“ came to end in 2007, there have been rumors about a movie that will follow up the lives of the Sopranos family. Though till date there has been no formal conformation from any one related to the show, but then the movie thing has always been around, ever since the series got cancelled. Is it only a rumor or there could be any reality to it?

I am sure there must be something to it that is why the Sopranos star Eddie Falco has shown some interest in it. Eddie Falco who played the role of Carmela, wife to mafia boss Tony Soprano, played by James Gandolfini is very excited at the possibility of their show being made into a movie. Not only that the actress is also ready to reprise her role, if it makes it to the big screen. Now those are some future plans.

When a reporter from the New York Daily News, asked Eddie if she would like to be a part of the Sopranos movie, this is what the actress had to say “Of course I’d be interested in doing it. I’m always the last person to know, but I love everyone on the show, and of course I would love it.”

Since this has come out, this is definitely adding fire to the rumors. In the last episode of the series, the Sopranos family was shown sitting and dining together and no hint was given about the fate of the family. The audiences were left guessing the fate of the Soprano family.

I guess if they ever come up with a movie, they are going to make it about the life of the Sopranos after finally Tony admitted that he was in love with his therapist. In the series the audiences were left wondering about this question and many other unanswered questions, which I guess the follow up movie of the series, should deal with.
